1. What got you interested in online marketing? Share your story.

I have a diverse background, including teaching and sales.I became interested in online marketing after I had already started my own business. I was selling used books on Amazon along with other venues.

With the launch of Amazon’s new Kindle, I became very excited about the new digital technology. I decided that not only was I going to start writing and publishing, I wanted to help others take advantage of the new technology as well.

And that’s what got me into an online business- creating training products to help people publish and leverage their content online

2. In terms of product ideas, how do you come up with most of the product ideas?

Most of my product ideas come from observing the marketplace and reviewing emerging trends in terms of technology and what people can now accomplish. I am very excited that individuals can now do things that only large corporations use to be able to do.

I also like being on the cutting edge. For example, at the end of last year, I released a training on how to publish card decks, there is no other training like that out there on the market, and part of the reason is that the technology has now recently emerged to allow people to do print on demand decks.

I saw that opportunity to help people with that type of training and brought that to the marketplace.

3. What are 2 or 3 tips you could share with others who plan to release a new internet marketing product in 2017?

I would say have a point of view. Don’t re-rehash the same old information over and over again. It’s fine to have an evergreen topic or subject, but you need to give people a reason to invest in your training.

Another tip I would share is to have quality training. With online marketing and training products- there is a lot of variance in quality. You need to have quality, whether that means hiring a professional writer, you can’t write well, or having somebody help you make more professional videos.

4. What gave you the idea to create Companion Publishing Profits?

I created CPP because I’ve been spending a lot of time this last year working on low-content publishing training, which is publishing consumable print books that don’t have a lot of writing in them. It’s a very big market. For example, adult coloring books, which are very popular.

One of the trends that I saw with my research is that people really like having a companion or additional content on certain types of topics, they want the additional interaction of writing and putting something together with their own thoughts rather than just reading a book.

For example, if somebody is working through a 12 step program because of an addiction, a certain segment of those people would like a workbook where they work through some of the steps. These companion types of books are great niche for a large variety of topics and subjects

5. What are the benefits of Companion Publishing Profits?

The benefits of CPP are to show people how they can quickly and easily create content that doesn’t require a lot of writing, and also help others with their companion books.

It’s an opportunity to create a viable income stream with publishing, without having to spend a lot of time or money writing or hiring writers. These books do not take very long to put together, and in Companion Publishing Profits, I reveal research and a lot of tips and strategies so anyone can create these popular in demand books quickly
